Sakuma Ryuto (作間龍斗) is a member of HiHi Jets.
Background[]
Sakuna joined Johnny's Jr. on February 11, 2013. He joined on his mother's recommendation as an Arashi fan.
Sakuma was the last edition to the unit HiHi Jets. July 14th 2016, He was first added in the third iteration of the group when the unit was expanded to eight members. Previously he only backdanced for HiHi Jets alongside Hayashi Ren and Kaneda Yosei.
He was shortly removed two months later with three other members (Haba Yuki, Igarashi Reo and Ukisho Hidaka) in September 2016. He continued to backdance for the unit in the following months.
At the end of February 2018, he was added back onto HiHi Jets (with the unit finalising it's name from HiHi Jet to HiHi Jets).
Sakuma as a university student in Mitsui Rehouse's CM
In April 2019, Sakma starred in a CM for Mitsui Rehouse. playing the role of a son who leaves home for university.
In September of 2019, photos of Sakuma Ryuto and Hashimoto Ryo smoking, drinking alcohol, and sleeping in bed with a female were leaked on the internet causing fans to outrage. News reports stated that this was a part of a revenge plot by obsessive fan who was allegedly ignored by Sakuma and HiHi Jets members, and wasn’t able to get pictures with them for "being too ugly".
Sakuma and Hashimoto eventually confessed that the boys on the photos were them. In response to the leak of inappropriate pictures the two of them were suspended from entertainment activities from September 10th until the end of December 2019 and took part community service and activities that the company would decide. Sakuma would also be giving priority to his school work as he is still in high school. The company accepts some responsibility for the incident due to a lack of proper guidance of their young talents. HiHi Jets continued to temporarily preform as a three person unit for the rest of 2019.
On January 1st 2020, it was was formally announced from all 5 members of HiHi Jets have been uploaded to the Jr fanclub site that Hashimoto Ryo and Sakuma Ryuto will resume activities. They thank us for our support during the hiatus, they have learned from what happened and promise to not make the fans sad again.
