Background[]
On March 5th 2018, Johnny's club member fans received information in the mail hinting at the formation of a new unit that would perform with HiHi Jets and 東京B少年 at that year's Johnny's Ginza. In the April edition of Duet and Winkup fan magazine, the unit's name and members were introduced for the first time.
On April 13th, the group performed for the first time on The Shounen Club performing Take Me Higher alongside HiHi Jets and 東京B少年. While mainly acting as backdancers, they performed with skateboards - hinting at the theme of their group.
In December of 2018, rumors of Maeda Koki leaving Johnny's Entertainment began to circulate when he did not appear with the other 6 members of the unit in that month's edition of Myojo magazine.

In 2019, Yabana Rei was added to the unit, confirming Maeda Koki's departure.
On March 1st, they were introduced as one of 11 units regularly participating in Johnny's Jr. official entertainment website 'ISLAND TV.'
On June 12th, it was announced that Nakamura Reia would be starring in a new drama Koi no Yamai to Yarougumi with other juniors from HiHi Jets, Bishounen, Shounen Ninja and Aぇ！group.

- There were also rumours that the group was formed with the Tokyo Olympic Games in mind.
- The members of 7 MEN 侍 were all born between 1997 and 2002. Nakamura Reia is the eldest while Sasaki Taiko is the youngest.
- Nakamura Reia, having joined the agency in 2009 has been in the agency for almost ten years.
- Motodaka Katsuki and Sugeta Rinne alongside Muraki Ryota were originally part of the trio unit Tensai Genius introduced in December 2015 (alongside unit Classmate J) before disbanding a year later.
- Konno Taiki, Sasaki Taiko and Igarashi Reo were all part of unit Classmate J before the unit disbanded in December 2016. Igarashi Reo was also a member of HiHi Jets at one point.
- This is Maeda Koki first time performing in a unit.
